Now open from 1100 - 2000 every day except Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Café is located in the peaceful landscaped gardens alongside the River Vincou, away from the bustle and traffic of the town centre. Whilst sitting on the terrace on the banks of the river, one can enjoy the superb views of the old town of Bellac and the thirteenth Century bridge, the Pont de la Pierre. Food is served all day so choose from a simple snack, a choice of entrées, Plats du Jour, and Desserts. If you need only to quench your thirst, on offer are a vast selection of non-alcoholic beverages, beers, wines and spirits. Look out for the theme events such as curry nights, pie and mash evenings, and the ever popular summer barbecues, held most weekends high season. For the cooler evenings and the winter time, the Café has seating inside for 40 people. The whole venue or the first floor dining room can be booked for private functions. The proprietors, Sue & Steve Causton welcome you to the only Guinguette in the area; call in and see what a perfect location this is for yourself and your friends.

If you, or any of you, enjoy "Couscous," I suggest trying it at the Bar-Tabac-Resto in St. Bonnet de Bellac. Couscous is served every Thursday, all day from twelve noon 'til late, and every Friday, up to 15H00. You can just pop in or if you have a group, it is suggested you book ahead of time at 05 55 60 09 47. The owners are great, helpful, friendly and seriously committed to hard work and punctuality. Also, from Monday to Friday, breakfast starts being served at 05H00! Yes, I did say 5 o'clock in the morning -that is where all of the "routiers," truck drivers get their breakfast before they head the road and the place is always packed! Sorry to say that they are closed on weekends. Bon apetit!
