Your hosts, Nicki and Neil, warmly welcome you to Camping Chez Rambaud, set in the heart of the beautiful Limousin region of France.
If it is peace and thought provoking silence you are craving, then this is certainly the place for you. You will be enchanted and amazed by the abundance of wildlife around you, from the butterflies and birds, to the deer in the surrounding fields and woodlands………………… you may be lucky enough to see them walking across the field opposite our site, early in the morning!
We endeavour to cater for all our guests various needs, you can be rest assured that approaching one of us with a question or problem, what ever it may be, will be quickly resolved or answered. We certainly will not encroach on your privacy, so you will be left alone to enjoy your stay.
Campsite
We have six 10 x10 metre spacious, individually hedged pitches, two of which are hard standing with grass area for caravans or tents.
Electric hook up points with ten amps each.
Immaculately kept toilet/shower facilities (including disabled room) which is heated in the winter, washing machine, dishwashing area, chemical toilet waste facility and information /reception room with numerous brochures and maps and a library of books.
We also have a variety of farm animals for you to pet and enjoy watching.
Guests with their dogs are very welcome here and will be fine with our animals, as our livestock are fenced in.
We have a selection of homemade chutneys and marmalades made from locally sourced and home grown ingredients along with home grown seasonal salads and vegetables, all of which can be purchased from us.
Our resident poultry can supply you with fresh, free range eggs.
Also there is a herb garden for you to use.
Gîte/Apartment
We have a small but well equipped gite, comprising of three rooms, a two person bedroom, kitchen with all utensils, and a toilet/shower room, with towels supplied. Complimentary items include tea, coffee, sugar, milk, chocolates and some of our free range eggs.
Property Hunters
As we are on the borders of three departments. Our campsite is the perfect base for house hunters looking for their dream property in France. Immobiliers (estate agents) are located in most towns and within easy travelling distance. Once found, as we are open all year, we are also the ideal base for visiting while your property is being purchased, renovated or built.

Guests are requested to arrive after mid-day for their emplacement, and on their departure, to vacate the emplacement before mid-day. If you do not arrive within 24 hours of the confirmed date and without notification, the reservation will be cancelled.
Dog's are permitted on the site, but must be under strict supervision and on a lead at all times, not only for their own safety, but for the comfort of the other guest's on site and our livestock. |

A new woodburner is due to be installed.
Fitted kitchen with large antique table in wood and bench seats. Floor is tiled in terra-cotta and waterproofed.
Door leads to the back of the house.
There is a gas hob with extractor fan, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and various other electrical appliances. The hob is linked to two gas bottles in the basement.
Two double bedrooms, one facing south with solid wood floor, built in cupboard with shelves, wardrobe, double bed, two bedside tables with lamps, desk and armchair.
The second bedroom faces south west, has a double bed, carpet, two bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe, chest, wooden table and wicker chair. Telephone point. Access door into study/dressing room in which there is a further telephone point, carpet, large wall cupboard with shelves, wooden table and radiator.

The grounds consist of a maintained garden of about 3 hectares with a pond of 50m x 20m.

Les Frauds is located close to Ladignac le Long and Bussière Galant (with train station direct line Limoges/Perigueux) at 3km.
In either village you will find schools, chemists, doctors, dentists, general stores and boulangeries.
Saint Yrieix la Perche (13km), Nexon (15km) and Chalus (10km). The prefecture of the Haute-Vienne is Limoges at 45km and Les Frauds is 15km from La Coquille and 40km from Périgueux in the Dordogne.
A car is absolutely essential for this property.

This recently renovated spacious cottage, which is annexed to the rear of the owners original Limousin farmhouse and barn, has been tastefully and sympathetically modernised whilst retaining many authentic features, which add to the charm of this rural property.
Set in the beautiful countryside of the Haute Vienne in the hamlet of Les Brégères. French department 87, the nearest towns are Rochechouart, Oradour-sur-Vayres and Vayres, whilst Limoges is also within easy travelling distance as is its expanded airport with daily flights from various places in the UK.
An original barn door gives access into an entrance vestibule. 2 steps lead into:
A large well-equipped traditional farmhouse dining kitchen, which has a lovely view over the garden. This room retains many authentic features including huge chestnut beams and a brick fireplace into which has been installed a wood burning fire and modern gas cooker.
A door leads through into:
An attractive spacious lounge furnished with comfortable cottage furniture and has a fireplace with wood burning stove and also offers a more formal dining area under the mezzanine. You also have the use of satellite television/DVD/video and hi fi. French doors give access to the terrace and garden.
A staircase leads onto a balustrade mezzanine with an additional cosy sitting area, from where the 2 bedrooms and bathroom are accessed. Bedroom 1 - this charming room with its beamed ceiling has a pine single bed, a set of bunk beds and free standing bedroom furniture.
Bedroom 2 - a large double bedroom with beamed ceiling and free standing pine furniture, which has a window seat with views overlooking the garden.
Bathroom - this pretty bathroom has a bath/shower, wash hand basin and toilet plus additional storage area. Duvets and pillows are provided. Bed linen can also be provided. The owners private lake, which is about a 10 minute drive from the cottage, has easy access from a quiet country lane and ‘on site’ parking’ and offers an additional option when planning your holiday.

Paille gites we offer self catering holidays for up to 6 people, giving
peace and tranquility, however there is also plenty to do for those who
prefer more active breaks. If you’re looking for a Gite in France,
you’ve come to the right place! Chez Paille Gites are located within the stunning department of Creuse, in the hamlet of Les Mazeires, together with about 12 other houses. The property is down a short chemin which leads only to farmland. There are 3 gites available, Windermere, Coniston and Derwent, each sleeping 6. All gites have been sympathetically converted to provide modern and comfortable surroundings. Windermere - is a traditional French farmhouse which consists of an open plan lounge/dining room, downstairs bathroom with separate WC, kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, and 3 double/twin bedrooms. There is south facing outside space to the front of the farmhouse with table and chairs and BBQ, overlooking the pool area. Coniston and Derwent – The converted barn accommodates 2 three bedroomed gites. Both Coniston and Derwent have an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen area with washing machine and dishwasher, upstairs bathroom and 3 double/twin bedrooms on the first floor. Both gites have separate outside areas to the front and rear and have BBQ’s and outside furniture to accommodate 6 people. There is English and French TV and DVD players and all gites have access to Wi-Fi internet. All bed linen and towels are provided but please bring your own towels for the swimming pool area. Unfortunately the gites are not suitable for those with limited mobility due to all bedrooms being situated on the first floor. We have 2 friendly dogs and welcome enquiries about bringing your own pets. High chairs, cots and stair gates are available on request. There is ample parking to the rear and secure storage for bicycles, etc. There is a large above ground pool (security locked to comply with French regulations) with sun loungers for use by guests, a boules pitch and a surrounding meadow of approximately 2 acres. There will be a welcome pack provided on arrival at your gite, consisting of basic essentials e.g. bread, milk, wine, beer. There is a small supermarket, bakery and butchers in the village of Jarnages which is approximately 7 kms from Chez Paille. The nearest large supermarket is in Gueret which is 15 minutes away by car. There is an English owned bar/restaurant only a 5 minute drive from the gites which enjoys spectacular views of the river and viaduct. Limousin enjoys the better weather of southern regions and is renowned for its tasty French food, especially the beef, mushrooms and fois gras. The Creuse is one of France’s best kept secrets; it is often likened to the English Lake District due to its many lakes and spectacular countryside. Here you can view beautiful Limousin sunsets and spectacular dark night skies free from pollution. The areas many lakes and rivers are suitable for swimming and fishing or just relaxing and listening to the ripples chat to the riverbank. |

Very large lounge, comfortably furnished and with a TV and DVD player, leading into an open plan dining room and kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/ freezer, gas cooker, washing machine and microwave, and has plenty of cupboard space and large worktops. From the lounge, French doors open onto a large deck with table and chairs, parasol and a bar-be-cue.
Upstairs there is a large central hallway which all rooms lead from. There are 2 large double bedrooms with double beds, one with an en-suite shower and wash hand basin and 2 smaller double bedrooms with 2 single beds in each. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash hand basin and toilet, and there is a separate toilet with hand basin.
La Grange is heated by very economical electric storage heaters. |

The Porcherie still has the traditional stone walls and lovely original features. It is an open plan design with the kitchen and living area downstairs and a mezzanine bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge and washing machine and microwave, the lounge has a TV and DVD player and a bed settee which could sleep another person if required.
From the lounge, French doors lead onto a very pretty patio, complete with patio furniture and bar-be-cue.
Both gites are supplied with linen and towels and a cot and high chair are available on request. Generally electricity and gas are included in the price, but electricity will be charged if heaters are required.

La Retreat is 35 minutes from Limoges airport, there are frequent flights from English airports and the property is 5 km from the lovely town of St Yrieix la Perche, which is very well served with shops, supermarkets and restaurants.
We are within easy reach of many interesting places in the Limousin or Dordogne -
Grotte de Villars The Villars grotto is the largest underground network in the Perigord and a tour will enable you to see impressive stalactites and a luminere show.
Oradour-sur-Glane During World War II, Oradour-sur-Glane was the scene of a cruel massacre carried out by SS troops. The remains of Oradour have now been preserved as a commemorative museum and resource centre.
Jumilhac le Grand The chateau at Jumilhac is open to the public during the summer, this beautiful town also hosts a Sunday market during July and August. You can still pan for gold in the rivers around Jumilhac, you might strike it rich!
Richard the Lionheart Route Follow the trail of 11th/12th century castles and fortresses Richard I would have known, from Coussac-Bonneval to Chalus where Richard was struck down by an arrow. During summer months many of these castles organise special events, exhibitions and concerts.

The gite has been recently renovated to a high standard with many of the original features retained including original oak beams and exposed stonework. Living room. Large spacious room with TV, and DVD player two large settees and occasional chairs, wood burning stove for heating in winter or on cold days, front door leading to courtyard which has full morning sun, ideal for an alfresco breakfast. Large beam running the length of this room. A set of stairs gives access to two of the bedrooms. Kitchen / Dinning room. This room is accessed from the living room through a low door. This room has the original stone work exposed on three sides and again a large beam runs the length of the room. The kitchen is fully fitted, washing machine, dishwasher, electric cooked, micro wave, toaster, kettle, all cutlery, and crockery, pots and pans, sink etc. There is a table and chairs in the dinning room to seat six people and a breakfast bar with stools for less formal eating. There is a door leading to the rear garden and BBQ area, and the view from this side of the gite is fabulous. There is another set of stairs leading to the bathroom and bedroom number 3. Bedroom 1. This bedroom overlooks the front courtyard and has the en-suite facility. The room has a double bed, clothes storage unit, bed side cabinet and an electrical radiator. The en-suite has a shower, vanity sink unit, storage area, heated towel rail and WC. All the bedrooms have beams running the full length of the room. Bedroom 2. This room overlooks the rear of the gite and has an impressive view over the trees and hills towards Rochechouart. This room has two single beds and a clothes storage unit, bed side cabinet and an electrical radiator. One wall has the original stonework exposed. There is a low door giving access to the shared bathroom. Bedroom 3. This room also overlooks the rear of the gite and has the impressive view. This room has a double bed and a clothes storage unit, bed side cabinet and an electrical radiator. Two walls have the original stonework exposed, and the roof beams are also visible, a Velux window adds lots of light to this vaulted room. The shared bathroom is next door to this room. Shared bathroom. The shared bathroom has a shower, vanity sink unit, storage area, WC, heated towel rail and the water heater is in this room. This bathroom has two doors one from bedroom 2 and one from the stairs leading from the kitchen /dinning room, so you must remember to lock both doors or you may be caught out!! The Garden. Large area at rear of gite with BBQ facilities, chairs, loungers, the ideal location to chill out and admire the view over a long cool beer or a large glass of wine. There is off road parking for up to three cars. The gite is located in beautiful tranquil countryside, surrounded by lakes, and picturesque villages a perfect area for walking, cycling, fishing, water sports, golf, etc. It is within easy reach of Limoges airport (45 min) and two major train stations Limoges/Angouleme. The property sleeps 5 comfortably although 6 could be accommodated in one single room, one twin room and one double room. It is newly restored and is fully furnished with large kitchen with double oven, washing machine and all other essential items to make a self catering break here a very restful experience. There is a large lounge with comfortable sofas and a very attractive inglenook fireplace with log burner. CD player, DVD player and TV with satellite channels. Guests have full use of private garden and car parking is available immediately in front of the cottage. BBQ and deck chairs available. All bed linen is included as are towels etc. Flexible rental periods offered to suit by the owners. Correze is a department in south central France, named for the Correze river and the department is part of the region of the Limousin. Tulle is the capital city and Brive the largest city and both destinations are well worth visiting when staying here. Treignac is just 4km from the cottage and has it's own fresh water lake and sandy beach which is ideal for swimming and kayaking. Both walkers and fishermen will be amply rewarded and the Limousin mountain range is on the doorstep to discover with it's clean fresh air and crystal clear rivers. Pets by arrangement. |

La Paisible is a light, bright house recently renovated and furnished to a very high standard. Cool in summer but warm in winter it offers accommodation for 5 people with cot etc for baby or toddler. On the Vienne river the village offers fishing, kayaking and the area is ideal for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling and bird watching. Exideuil is in a perfect position for discovering the Haute Vienne, Correze, Dordogne etc…. and is only 45 minutes from Limoges airport. The house is available for longer term lets in spring, autumn and winter (September to May) at only 500 euros per month. Retaining many original features it also has the advantages of a new kitchen and shower room. The large living/dining room, with French doors to the garden, caters for up to six people. The room with it’s original beams and large wood burning stove - logs provided - has DVD player, CD player, CDs, DVDs, books and games for your entertainment. The oak staircase leads to the two large bedrooms – one with double bed, one with king size bed. In the larger room there is also a daybed that can be used as a single bed. The modern kitchen with it’s beamed ceiling houses the combination boiler and is equipped with a top of the range RangeMaster double oven, 5 ring ceramic hob electric cooker. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge and chandelier … every kitchen should have one! The Shower room has a walk in shower and glass topped vanity unit, heated towel rail and hair dryer. Outside there is a private, gated courtyard garden that is secure for children and animals …. pets are by negotiation. The outhouse houses garden furniture, barbecue and logs. A five minute stroll over the river brings you into Exideuil village where you will find patisserie, boucherie, epicierie, bar/restaurant and post office. Chabanais, a five minutes drive away, has a variety of shops including the modern SuperU supermarket and petrol station, a good place to fill up with fuel being very competitively priced. There is also a small market in the car park near the river on Thursday mornings. The area has lovely lakes with beaches and play areas … ideal for children …. and a variety of places to visit and things to see. Treat yourself to lunch in one of a choice of lovely cafes and restaurants or just sit under an umbrella and watch the world go by. Please note that the house is NOT suitable for wheelchair users or people with serious difficulties as it is on two levels and access is by a small number of steps. |

Although historical, the cottage has all the usual up to date facilities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It consists of (ground floor) cosy sitting room, dining room and small equipped kitchen. On the 1st floor, a double bedroom overlooking open countryside at the rear, and a spacious modern shower room. The cottage is fully equipped for your comfort, including UK/French TV, wireless internet, dvd player (with dvd's) cd player, books etc. Double sofa bed in sitting room. Outside, there is small, sunny, private garden\patio area for you to take ‘al fresco' meals - we provide a barbeque, seating and sun loungers. Beyond the garden is totally open countryside, with occasional deer strolling across. From the garden you can watch buzzards and hawks hunting and can hear many kinds of animal noises. Correze A warm welcome awaits you at Le Pelateau chambres d’hôtes
Le Pelateau is situated in the beautiful little village of Montgibaud. Montgibaud can be found in the Correze; a department of the Limousin, nestled just below the border of the Haute-Vienne.
Le Pelateau's position is ideal for visiting/house hunting in both the Correze and the Haute Vienne departments of the Limousin and the Dordogne; or as a mid-way stop over on your way to the south. Montgibaud is situated just 10 minutes off exit 42 on the A20 and only 45 minutes drive from Limoges airport.
Bed and Breakfast at Le Pelateau
The Garden Suite consists of three rooms, one double bedroom with a balcony overlooking the garden, a twin bedroom and a shower room comprising a shower, wc and hand basin. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available in both rooms.
The Orchard Room is a large, dual aspect, double room with ensuite shower room, comprising a shower, WC and hand basin. The room has beautiful views over the orchard and beyond. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available in the room.
The Village Room is a large, sunny, dual aspect double room with ensuite shower room comprising a shower, WC and hand basin. Tea and Coffee making factlities are available in the room.
All meals are taken in the beautiful dining area. Dining at Le Pelateau is a social affair with all guests seated around the spacious dining table. After dinner coffees can be taken in the seating area within the main dining/sitting room. A continental breakfast is available and is included in the room tariff. A home cooked four course meal with wine is available at 20 euros per person (10 euros for children under 12; a high chair is available on request) but must be booked in advance. Weather permitting (which it usually does) we hold a BBQ evening for guests once a week. Self Catering in The Cottage
The Cottage/Gîte is separate from the main house and can accommodate up to 6 people. The Cottage is spacious, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, whilst maintaining its cottage atmosphere. The Cottage has views across the garden and beyond. The accommodation consists of: The Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one double which is dual aspect with electric heater and one twin with bunk beds; both bedrooms have ample cupboard space. The landing area has further cupboard space and a sofa bed which sleeps an additional two people.
The living/dining area benefits from a large dining table comfortably seating 6 people, a seating area around the wood burner, TV, DVD player and a gas heater. The kitchen has newly fitted units with a gas oven, hob and extractor hood, a fridge, and a double sink. Provided in the kitchen are a toaster, kettle, cafetiere, blender, iron and ironing board. All necessary cooking utensils are also available including a 6 person dinner service. The bathroom has a large shower, wash basin with mirror lighting, a WC, shelving, clothes airer and an electric heater.
Guests have full use of Le Pelateau’s large garden and the BBQ, with outside seating area. The Cottage guests are asked to request to use the BBQ as we may be using it for our weekly BBQ evening. The Cottage guests are more than welcome to join the evening, but this must be booked in advance. Board games and cards are held in the main house but are available to guests in The Cottage. All bedding and bath towels are provided free of charge and access to a washing machine is available for a small charge. Both a cot and a high chair can be made available but please inform us when booking. Le Pelateau has spacious off road parking. A welcome pack is provided for all guests on arrival.
Please note: The Cottage is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
Montgibaud boasts a very good restaurant and local amenities can be found 5km away in the village of Meuzac; 8km away Lubersac offers full amenities including 2 supermarkets. Restaurant, Bar and Hotel
is a large 200 year old three storey house.
We provide cosy rooms and a friendly welcome for bed and breakfast and short breaks.
The property is at the heart of Champsac, which is a small Limousin commune 25 minutes south of Limoges.
 We are a licensed bar, restaurant (our restaurant has original panelling and a large open fireplace), and we have a hall which often hosts local events.
We also have a beer garden with a safe play area and plenty of shade, a front terrace to watch the world go by. We can offer a private garden for our guests which has a small plunge pool.
Le Champsac is situated in the Park Naturel Regional of the Limousin, with green hills, hedgerows, ponds and shady meadows. We are in a small typically French hamlet, surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of the French countryside.
On the first floor we have three double/triple en-suite bedrooms, with extra bed suitable for a child. They have recently been renovated and are available from €49 per room per night, based upon 2 people sharing. All rooms have central heating and Tea/Coffee making facilities. It is at the end of a lane with almost no traffic, very peaceful with chestnut woods to one side and the rear of the property.

is an ideal situation for walkers, nature lovers, cyclists,
artists and families alike. We are about 40 minutes drive from
Limoges with it's two golf courses, plenty of shops and it's
famous porcelain manufacturers and 15 mins from St Yrieix,
famous for it's madeleines. About 10 mins away is the historic
village of Chalus where Richard the Lionheart met his death.
