The property consists of a main house of 150 m2 with attached barn.
The living room of 40 m2 has exposed beams and solid wood floor. Two large sofas are placed in front of the open fire. Telephone point in the room. Television with Satellite links to Astra, Hotbird, Atlantic Bird and Sky free air channels but requires connection. Available also are some DVD's and a DVD player, micro hi-fi, game boxes, books, videos.
A new woodburner is due to be installed.
Fitted kitchen with large antique table in wood and bench seats. Floor is tiled in terra-cotta and waterproofed.
Door leads to the back of the house.
There is a gas hob with extractor fan, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and various other electrical appliances. The hob is linked to two gas bottles in the basement.
Two double bedrooms, one facing south with solid wood floor, built in cupboard with shelves, wardrobe, double bed, two bedside tables with lamps, desk and armchair.
The second bedroom faces south west, has a double bed, carpet, two bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe, chest, wooden table and wicker chair. Telephone point. Access door into study/dressing room in which there is a further telephone point, carpet, large wall cupboard with shelves, wooden table and radiator.
Bathroom with tiled floor, shower cubicle, bath, washbasin and the washing machine is located here.
Separate toilet.
The
grounds consist of a maintained garden of about 3 hectares with
a pond of 50m x 20m. The garden is not suitable for small children, please consult with owners.

| Located within the stunning department of Creuse, in the hamlet of Les Mazeires, together with about 12 other houses. The property is down a short chemin which leads only to farmland. Windermere - is a traditional French farmhouse which consists of an open plan lounge/dining room, downstairs bathroom with separate WC, kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, and 3 double/twin bedrooms. There is south facing outside space to the front of the farmhouse with table and chairs and BBQ, overlooking the pool area. Unfortunately the property is not suitable for those with limited mobility due to all bedrooms being situated on the first floor. We have 2 friendly dogs and welcome enquiries about bringing your own pets. High chairs, cots and stair gates are available on request. There is ample parking to the rear and secure storage for bicycles, etc. There is a large above ground pool (security locked to comply with French regulations) with sun loungers for use by guests, a boules pitch and a surrounding meadow of approximately 2 acres. There is a small supermarket, bakery and butchers in the village of Jarnages which is approximately 7 kms from Chez Paille. The nearest large supermarket is in Gueret which is 15 minutes away by car. There is an English owned bar/restaurant only a 5 minute drive from the gites which enjoys spectacular views of the river and viaduct. Rental 530 euro per month plus electric. Upstairs there is a large central hallway which all rooms lead from. There are 2 large double bedrooms with double beds, one with an en-suite shower and wash hand basin and 2 smaller double bedrooms with 2 single beds in each. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash hand basin and toilet, and there is a separate toilet with hand basin.
La Grange is heated by very economical electric storage heaters. |

The apartment is 1 of 7 that we have recently converted within a large house into self contained units.
In the lovely village of Coussac Bonneval with its ancient chateau and church and many other features.
They are all newly decorated throughout, have been completely rewired and passed by the consel general, new kitchen units with built in hob and oven with extractor fan. New bathroom suit with shower over the bath.
The apartment is large by UK standards total area 49 sq. mts.
With beautiful views over the chateau and grounds to one side and across the roof tops to the fields and countryside on the other.
There is plenty of parking next to the house, and the village is large enough to service 2 grocery shops, a boulangerie, and a first class butchers, however, an English butcher will deliver each week if you order.
There are 2 bars which serve bargain priced meals, a fantastic restaurant with meals equal to any of the top restaurants in Paris for taste.
You have the choice of 2 ladies hairdressers and a gents hairdresser, a 1st class pharmacy (and they speak English very well), a doctors, hardware store and a garage which will service your car and serves fuel, they are most helpful.
To top it all there is a post office a wine store and newsagent/cafe, English estate agent, and a small weekly market.
The village has many events throughout the year even in the winter which you would be most welcome to attend and join in the fun.
If this is not enough for you the town of St. Yrieix is only 15 minutes drive away with all its shops and 6 supermarkets, 5 car dealerships and a variety of restaurants and old world charm with a large market every 2 weeks.
Limoges and Brive airports are only 40 minutes drive away with cheap flights to 9 UK airports on a daily basis.
The roads round here are not very busy and you can drive at your own pace and no traffic jams.
The apartment is let unfurnished apart from fitted carpets and heaters, TV connection to French TNT, connection to UK sky could be arranged.
The apartments are let through English speaking-French agents so you will be covered by a new 3 year contract which you can terminate with 2/3 months notice if you wish.
The rental is a modest 299 euro + 15 euro to cover water and communal costs per month.

The gite has been recently renovated to a high standard with many of the original features retained including original oak beams and exposed stonework.
Living room. Large spacious room with TV, and DVD player two large settees and occasional chairs, wood burning stove for heating in winter or on cold days, front door leading to courtyard which has full morning sun, ideal for an alfresco breakfast. Large beam running the length of this room. A set of stairs gives access to two of the bedrooms.
Kitchen / Dinning room. This room is accessed from the living room through a low door. This room has the original stone work exposed on three sides and again a large beam runs the length of the room. The kitchen is fully fitted, washing machine, dishwasher, electric cooked, micro wave, toaster, kettle, all cutlery, and crockery, pots and pans, sink etc.
There is a table and chairs in the dinning room to seat six people and a breakfast bar with stools for less formal eating. There is a door leading to the rear garden and BBQ area, and the view from this side of the gite is fabulous. There is another set of stairs leading to the bathroom and bedroom number 3.
Bedroom 1. This bed room overlooks the front courtyard and has the en-suite facility. The room has a double bed, clothes storage unit, bed side cabinet and an electrical radiator. The en-suite has a shower, vanity sink unit, storage area, heated towel rail and WC. All the bedrooms have beams running the full length of the room.
Bedroom 2. This room overlooks the rear of the gite and has an impressive view over the trees and hills towards Rochechouart. This room has two single beds and a clothes storage unit, bed side cabinet and an electrical radiator. One wall has the original stonework exposed. There is a low door giving access to the shared bathroom.
Bedroom 3. This room also overlooks the rear of the gite and has the impressive view. This room has a double bed and a clothes storage unit, bed side cabinet and an electrical radiator. Two walls have the original stonework exposed, and the roof beams are also visible, a Velux window adds lots of light to this vaulted room. The shared bathroom is next door to this room.
Shared
bathroom. The shared bathroom has a shower, vanity sink unit, storage
area, WC, heated towel rail and the water heater is in this room. This
bathroom has two doors one from bedroom 2 and one from the stairs
leading from the kitchen /dinning room, so you must remember to lock
both doors or you may be caught out!!
There is off road parking for up to three cars.
The gite is located in beautiful tranquil countryside, surrounded by lakes, and picturesque villages a perfect area for walking, cycling, fishing, water sports, golf, etc. It is within easy reach of Limoges airport (45 min) and two major train stations Limoges/Angouleme.

| La Paisible is a light, bright house recently renovated and furnished to a very high standard. Cool in summer but warm in winter it offers accommodation for 5 people with cot etc for baby or toddler. On the Vienne river the village offers fishing, kayaking and the area is ideal for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling and bird watching. Exideuil is in a perfect position for discovering the Haute Vienne, Correze, Dordogne etc…. and is only 45 minutes from Limoges airport. The house is available for longer term lets in spring, autumn and winter (September to May) at only 500 euros per month. Retaining many original features it also has the advantages of a new kitchen and shower room. The large living/dining room, with French doors to the garden, caters for up to six people. The room with it’s original beams and large wood burning stove - logs provided - has DVD player, CD player, CDs, DVDs, books and games for your entertainment. The oak staircase leads to the two large bedrooms – one with double bed, one with king size bed. In the larger room there is also a daybed that can be used as a single bed. The modern kitchen with it’s beamed ceiling houses the combination boiler and is equipped with a top of the range RangeMaster double oven, 5 ring ceramic hob electric cooker. Chabanais, a five minutes drive away, has a variety of shops including the modern SuperU supermarket and petrol station, a good place to fill up with fuel being very competitively priced. There is also a small market in the car park near the river on Thursday mornings. The area has lovely lakes with beaches and play areas … ideal for children …. and a variety of places to visit and things to see. Treat yourself to lunch in one of a choice of lovely cafes and restaurants or just sit under an umbrella and watch the world go by. Please note that the house is NOT suitable for wheelchair users or people with serious difficulties as it is on two levels and access is by a small number of steps. La Petite Chabanne - beautiful barn conversion, with attached barn on Dordogne/Haute Vienne border.

La Petite Chabanne is one long building, very big, with one huge barn for possible storage. It all faces south on a gentle slope, which is great for that sunshine. It is approached by a poplar lined drive to the front.
There are patios to the side and front and
there are several trees around the house. The kitchen diner stretches from front to back, has exposed oak beams and is tiled, with wide steps up from dining area to kitchen area.
There is a large white tiled island with drawers and cupboards and 3 high stools for breakfast seating, by the double porcelain sink, a double cooker with 5 ring gas hob, and a tiled work surface over storage cupboards. There is a washing machine and large fridge, also another long table with bench seating.
Downstairs off the kitchen is a large room which could be another bedroom or office.
The back door leads out onto a wide patio, with large outdoor table with large parasol and garden chairs.
The sitting room leads off from the dining area, and has a high ceiling, with a balcony round 3 sides, which leads off the stairs to the bedrooms and mezzanine floor.
There
are large patio glass doors, leading to a patio, a wood burner,
steps up to a raised floor area, under the mezzanine. This room
is very light and spacious.
There is also the mezzanine with a 4' bed, and a large landing area with a foam double sofa bed and a single foam chair bed, large coffee table, a lovely space to chill and read.
All bedrooms have en suite shower rooms with WCs and basins.
There is a wood burning fire in the kitchen diner and also in the sitting room and there are electric radiators in some of the bedrooms.
ADSL available via France Telecom or SFR.
