This delightful property is in a hamlet in the heart of the Regional Natural Parc of the Perigord/Limousin - halfway between the villages of Bussiere Galant and Ladignac le Long, both around a 5 minute drive.

The Villars grotto is the largest underground network in the
Perigord and a tour will enable you to see impressive stalactites
and a luminere show.
Oradour-sur-Glane
During World War II, Oradour-sur-Glane was the scene of a cruel
massacre carried out by SS troops. The remains of Oradour have
now been preserved as a commemorative museum and resource centre.
Jumilhac
le Grand
The chateau at Jumilhac is open to the public during the summer,
this beautiful town also hosts a Sunday market during July and August.
You can still pan for gold in the rivers around Jumilhac, you
might strike it rich!
Richard
the Lionheart Route
Follow the trail of 11th/12th century castles and fortresses Richard I
would have known, from Coussac-Bonneval to Chalus where
Richard was struck down by an arrow. During summer months many of these
castles organize special events, exhibitions and concerts.
This
is a one bedroomed property, with double bed, 2 bed side drawers and a
chest of drawers. However could sleep four by using the sofa bed in the
lounge.

Haute Vienne
The
house ‘Macom’ is situated in
Lambertie, a charming hamlet near the historic town of
Rochechouart with its magnificent château. It is in the heart of
undulating wooded hills, ponds and pastureland.
The excellent local cuisine can be sampled at the friendly and cheap bars and restaurants as well as at the weekly traditional markets in nearby towns and villages. Two beautiful lakes nearby (5 and 15 minutes by car) are perfect for swimming, sailing and other water activities.
This, as yet, undiscovered region is ideal for country walks, cycling or just simply relaxing in the tranquillity of rural France.
There is a wealth of historic sights such as Roman baths, Richard the Lionheart trails and a rich variety of antique and modern local arts and crafts.
Macom is a beautifully converted Napoleonic farmhouse and barn that combines the local architectural features with modern comforts - sleeping eight +.
The
main door leads to a bright spacious converted barn with traditional
furniture of the region.
Two French windows lead onto a large patio facing the big open garden and orchard where you can watch and listen to wild life, or read and enjoy local wine.
The well equipped kitchen has views to the garden. You will find a fridge/freezer, built in electric oven, combination stove (gas/electric), and washing machine.
A feature wooden staircase leads to a logia, the master suite with its large bedroom, dressing room and a bathroom with shower and toilet.
On

Set in peaceful countryside yet not far from all the local amenities. The village of Champsac is 3,5 km, with school, baker, bar-restaurant-tabac, butcher, hairdresser and post office. The larger town of Chalus is 7 km. The town has all amenities including English speaking doctor and large supermarket.
The airport at Limoges with daily flights to the UK and other countries is only 30 minutes away.

beams. In one corner there is a well appointed kitchen which looks out
over the garden and fields, and also a cloakroom.
A
galleried staircase leads onto the first floor where four beautifully
furnished bedrooms are situated, all with en-suite facilities. There are
two double rooms featuring king-sized beds and two twin rooms.

The
Porcherie still has the traditional stone walls and lovely original
features. It is an open plan design with the kitchen and living area
downstairs and a mezzanine bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
The
kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge and washing machine
and microwave, the lounge has a TV and DVD player and a bed settee which
could sleep another person if required.
From the lounge, French doors lead onto a very pretty patio, complete with patio furniture and bar-be-cue
Both
gites are supplied with linen and towels and a cot and high chair are
available on request. Generally electricity and gas are included in the
price, but electricity will be charged if heaters are required.

Our ideal is to offer a quiet and relaxed base from which you can explore the real France around us whether on holiday or house hunting in the area.
We are located in Bussiere Galant village with all necessary shops and railway station with direct line Perigueux/Limoges. The village also has a large leisure lake where you can swim or fish and it is surrounded by parkland for walking or enjoying the more strenuous tree top adventure playground.

Las Moulieras - self catering accommodation sleeping 2 to 6 people in traditional farmhouse with a large open-plan kitchen/dining area with wood-burning stove.

Meals
can be provided by arrangement but otherwise you are free to shop for
your needs at the small supermarket in the local village, or travel
further for variety. We are situated within a short distance of the
village of La Croisille sur Briance with all amenities in the
south Haute Vienne, just 20 minutes from Limoges, Limoges Airport,
Rail and Autoroute links.
There is an abundance of quality restaurants and cafes in the area (even a local Vegetarian restaurant). Special needs and requests can be catered for in advance.
Additionally, bicycles, board games, petang (boules) and darts are provided, along with maps, tourist guides and books for your use.

Gite Carreau in the Perigord/Limousin Parc Regional
- an ideal base for touring
the Limousin, Dordogne and the Charente
Carreau is set in lovely gardens in a tiny hamlet of only 8 houses near the village of Marval. We are located 40 minutes from Limoges airport and an hour from Perigueux and Angouleme.
The gîte has comfortable open plan living accommodation. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker, microwave/grill, washing machine, fridge, coffee maker and the basic essentials for cooking.
The living and dining area has a table, four chairs, bed settee, armchairs with satellite TV, video with a selection of videos, CD player, books and games.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom, single bedroom and a shower/toilet with vanity unit.
Outside there is a table, chairs and
umbrella, BBQ and swimming pool
(10m x 5.5m) which
is fenced, gated and has an alarm which conforms to the new regulations.
A table tennis table is provided for your use and you will find small secluded private fishing only a 5 minute walk away.
