French department 87, the nearest towns are Rochechouart, Oradour-sur-Vayres and Vayres, whilst Limoges is also within easy traveling distance as is its expanded airport with daily flights from various places in the UK.

An original barn door gives access into an entrance vestibule. 2 steps lead into:

There are two large bedrooms – one with king size bed, one with double bed .  

In the larger room there is also a daybed that can be used as a single.

The large living / dining room caters for up to six people – plenty of space for guests – and has DVD player, CD player, games etc

The house has gas central heating and a wood burning stove for use in the colder months, logs provided.

Outside there is a private, gated courtyard garden that is secure for children and animals …. pets are by negotiation.  The outhouse houses garden furniture, barbecue and logs.     Please note that the house is NOT suitable for wheelchair users or people with serious difficulties as it is on two levels and access is by a small number of steps.

A five minute stroll over the river brings you into Exideuil village where you will find patisserie, boucherie, epicierie, bar / restaurant and post office.

Chabanais, a five minutes drive away, has a variety of shops including SuperU, a good sized modern supermarket . This is a good place to fill up with fuel being very competitively  priced.  There is also a market in the car park near the river on Thursday mornings.

Les Frauds - A renovated farmhouse in the south Haute Vienne and only 3km north of the Dordogne.

The property consists of a main house of 150 m2 with attached barn.

Limoges airport is around a 40 minute drive with its flights from many areas of the UK by Ryanair.
